Crime Report: Vehicle and Property Thefts

Aug. 23 — A vehicle was reported stolen in the 800 block of Chalfonte Drive at 8:22 a.m. The case is pending.

Aug. 23 — An assault was reported in the 3800 block of Russell Road at 7:01 a.m. The case is pending.

Aug. 22 — Victim reported that his bicycle, which was left unattended in front of a business in the 2900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway, was gone when he returned to retrieve it. The incident occurred at 11:01 p.m. The case is open.

Aug. 22 — A gas-powered leaf blower was reported stolen from the maintenance room of a facility in the 3100 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue by an unknown suspect or suspects. The incident occurred at 12:44 p.m. The case is pending.

Aug. 21 — Victim reported that the license plates were stolen from his vehicle, which was parked in a parking lot in the 3700 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue. The incident occurred at 8:32 a.m. The case is pending.
