11 p.m. update — According to a crime alert message from Lynhaven Citizens Association President Joe Bondi, police say they believe the victim and the suspect in the stabbing incident knew each other. — — — — Alexandria Police responded to an "apparent stabbing" that occurred around 8:24 p.m. Thursday on the 3500 block of Wilson Avenue in Lynhaven. The victim was transported to INOVA Fairfax with injuries referred to as "non-life-threatening" in an email from a City of Alexandria spokesperson. Police blocked off an alley between Wilson Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue around 9:30 p.m. The alley empties onto E. Reed Avenue near . Police are continuing to investigate the scene and detectives are interviewing witnesses. APD had no further information on the incident.
