Updated: Police Respond to Stabbing Incident in Lynhaven

Victim transported to INOVA Fairfax with 'non-life-threatening' injuries.

11 p.m. update — According to a crime alert message from Lynhaven Citizens Association President Joe Bondi, police say they believe the victim and the suspect in the stabbing incident knew each other.

Alexandria Police responded to an “apparent stabbing” that occurred around 8:24 p.m. Thursday on the 3500 block of Wilson Avenue in Lynhaven.

The victim was transported to INOVA Fairfax with injuries referred to as “non-life-threatening” in an email from a City of Alexandria spokesperson.

Police blocked off an alley between Wilson Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue around 9:30 p.m. The alley empties onto E. Reed Avenue near .
