1. School board bans Flock-style license plate readers on FCPS property (ffxnow.com) — Fairfax County Public Schools families should know the school board has unanimously banned Flock-style automated license plate readers on any FCPS-owned property. Officials say the preemptive move reflects privacy and civil liberties concerns, emphasizing that schools will continue relying on existing security cameras and locally stored footage rather than cloud-based tracking technology.
2. Add these 18 Fall Festivals and Events in Northern Virginia to Your Calendar (northernvirginiamag.com) — Mark your calendar for the Fairfax Fall Festival on October 10, celebrating its 50th year with live entertainment and more than 400 craft and food vendors throughout Old Town Fairfax. It's one of many Northern Virginia fall events, from Manassas and Reston to Middleburg and Annandale, offering everything from horse races and film festivals to apple harvests and Halloween fly-ins.
3. Newmark Arranges $97.5M Sale of Willow Oaks Medical Campus in Fairfax (cremarketbeat.com) — A major Fairfax medical campus just changed hands, with Inova Health System buying the two-building Willow Oaks Medical Campus in the Merrifield submarket for $97.5 million. The fully medical office complex sits next to Inova Fairfax Hospital and near Dunn Loring–Merrifield Metro, reinforcing this area as a key regional healthcare hub with upgraded, modern facilities and strong transit access.
4.
