FAIR OAKS, VA — Drivers in Fair Oaks should expect a series of overnight ramp closures at the Route 50 and Fairfax County Parkway interchange starting Sunday, April 26, and continuing through Friday, May 1.
The Virginia Department of Transportation said the closures are planned for milling and paving work, weather permitting, at the Route 50/Fairfax County Parkway, or Route 286, interchange.
Westbound Route 50 ramp to northbound and southbound Fairfax County Parkway will be closed:
VDOT will detour traffic via westbound Route 50 and Rugby Road (Route 750) back to northbound and southbound Fairfax County Parkway.
Southbound Fairfax County Parkway ramp to westbound Route 50 will be closed:
Traffic will be detoured before the ramp via Rugby Road and back to westbound Route 50.
Southbound Fairfax County Parkway ramp to eastbound Route 50 will be closed:
Traffic will be detoured before the ramp via Rugby Road and back to eastbound Route 50.
Northbound Fairfax County Parkway ramp to eastbound Route 50 will be closed:
Traffic will be detoured via northbound Fairfax County Parkway and Rugby Road back to eastbound Route 50.
Northbound Fairfax County Parkway to westbound Route 50 will be closed:
Traffic will be detoured via northbound Fairfax County Parkway and Rugby Road back to westbound Route 50.
Eastbound Route 50 to northbound and southbound Fairfax County Parkway will be closed:
Traffic will be diverted before the ramp via Rugby Road back to northbound and southbound Fairfax County Parkway.
VDOT said drivers can get traffic, work zone and incident information at 511.vdot.virginia.gov, through the 511Virginia mobile app, or by calling 511 in Virginia.
