Troopers Seek Motorcyclist Who Fled Stop On I-66 In Fairfax

Virginia State Police said a motorcyclist fled a traffic stop on I-66 and was last seen near Route 28.

FAIR LAKES, VA — Virginia State Police is asking for the public’s help identifying a motorcyclist who fled a trooper during a traffic stop Thursday evening on Interstate 66 westbound in the Express Lanes near Monument Drive in Fairfax County.

According to Virginia State Police, a trooper tried to stop the motorcyclist for speeding shortly after 6 p.m. The rider did not stop, and a pursuit began on I-66 westbound in the Express Lanes.

State police reported that the motorcyclist exited at Stringfellow Road, drove on the sidewalk and nearly hit multiple cars before continuing at a high rate of speed. The motorcycle was last seen on Old Centreville Road in the area of Route 28, according to Virginia State Police.

Virginia State Police described the motorcycle as a black sports bike with a rounded front and tail end and two red round circular brake lights. The rider is described as a heavyset African American man with dreads, wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black pants and sneakers.
