FAIRFAX, VA — Drivers may see heavier than normal traffic around George Mason University's Fairfax campus from May 14 through June 17, according to a traffic advisory about graduation events at EagleBank Arena.
Congestion is expected during George Mason University's commencement on May 14, Northern Virginia Community College's commencement on May 18, and high school graduation ceremonies scheduled from May 28 through June 17. Multiple ceremonies will take place each day at the Fairfax campus during that period, according to the advisory.
The notice says drivers should expect heavy traffic on and around campus as those events bring graduates, families and guests to EagleBank Arena. The arena is on George Mason's Fairfax campus, and the advisory identifies the venue as the site for the commencement and graduation celebrations.
Updates will be posted by Parking and Transportation on Facebook and X. People with questions can contact Parking Services at parking@gmu.edu or 703-993-2710.
