SEVEN CORNERS, VA — A motorcyclist was critically injured Thursday in a crash involving another vehicle in Seven Corners, according to Fairfax County police.
The crash happened at Leesburg Pike and Rio Drive, police said in a statement posted around 8:30 a.m. The adult male motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene, police said. Fairfax County's Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating the collision.
One eastbound lane of Leesburg Pike was closed at Rio Drive while investigators worked at the scene. Police advised drivers to use an alternate route.
