• Planning Commission approves Seven Corners water tank (annandaletoday.com) — A major new water tank approved for Seven Corners will eventually replace an aging facility once owned by the City of Falls Church, improving water pressure and fire protection for parts of Falls Church, Bailey's Crossroads, Arlington, and Seven Corners. Construction will start in 2027, but a dozen apartments must be demolished, and Fairfax Water has pledged relocation assistance and housing support for affected families.
   

• Third Battle Invitational 2026 (milesplit.com) — Local runners from Falls Church High School turned in solid performances at the Third Battle Invitational, with several athletes placing well in the boys' JV and varsity races and the girls' JV and varsity fields. The massive meet drew teams from across Virginia and nearby states, giving Falls Church competitors a fast course, deep competition, and a clear benchmark heading into the heart of the cross-country season.
