Fencing is my sport of choice. I compete internationally in the Veteran Men’s Foil Division. Over the years, the staff at ACE Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Institute have played a key role in helping me to continue fencing.
Several years ago, I needed rehabilitation and strengthening of my knee. When I first visited, I liked that ACE Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Institute was close to my home. I liked the facility, but then I loved the support.The highly skilled staff provided excellent care.
In March 2015, I had shoulder reconstruction. I chose ACE Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Institute again because the results achieved from before. I knew they could provide the comfort and rehabilitation that could help me recover in time for upcoming competitions.
Once again, the highly skilled staff at ACE Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Institute came through. It was hard, but enjoyable work. I was able to get there, get my work out, and get done fast. By summer 2015, I was competing again competed in the US National Championships and then the Pan Am Games in Lima, Peru. I not only competed but came home with silver in the Veteran Men’s Foil event at Pan American Games.

I love playing sports especially football, basketball, and track & field. An injury could have sidelined me permanently. It happened during my sophomore year. In the middle of a football game, I hit the ground in pain. I tore my MCL and strained my PCL and Meniscus. After the diagnosis, I was concerned that I would never play again. My dreams of playing in college looked in doubt.

There were Physical Therapists on staff who specialized in my injury and could bring me back to playing condition. After an initial assessment, the team developed a plan of recovery. At the end of my therapy and before any training, I attended college camp. There I posted my fastest 40-yard dash ever at 4.47. Amazing!
