1,000 Fentanyl Pills, 2 Pistols Seized During Spotsylvania Traffic Stop: Police
3 Woodbridge teens were arrested after a traffic stop in Spotsylvania. Deputies said they found 1,000 fentanyl pills in the teens' car.

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA — Deputies found 1,000 fentanyl pills and two loaded pistols during a traffic stop in Spotsylvania County on Thursday, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office said.
Authorities said three 19-year-olds from Woodbridge were in the car. They each face criminal charges.
D'Shon Mims, the driver, is charged with possession with the intent to distribute a schedule I/II narcotic, possess a firearm while in possession of a schedule I/II narcotic, concealed weapon, obstruction of justice, and no operator license.

Jada Sales-Perez, the front seat passenger, is charged with possession of a schedule I/II narcotic. The back seat passenger, Francisco D. Chavarria, is also charged with possession of a schedule I/II narcotic. He was also wanted on warrants from Prince William County, authorities said.
Around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, deputies reported a speeding Acura on Interstate 95 without a front tag.

"A traffic stop was attempted, but occupants of the Acura decided to play a game of musical chairs while the vehicle was still moving," the sheriff's office said in a report. "The Detectives observed the female front passenger jump into the driver seat while the original driver jumped into the back seat before the vehicle abruptly stopped in the right travel lane of the interstate around the 124 mile marker."
During the traffic stop, deputies reported finding more than 1,000 fentanyl pills and a pair of loaded handguns. The three people in the car were arrested and taken to the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
"I appreciate the hard work of our deputies, detectives and community who continue to help to keep this deadly poison off our streets," Spotsylvania Sheriff Roger Harris said in a news release.
