$1 Million Lottery Ticket To Spotsylvania-Area Son, Mother
A Virginia Lottery Extreme Millions scratch-off ticket fetched $1 million for a couple of Spotsylvania-area folks, a son and his mother.

SPOTSYLVANIA, VA—Feeling lucky? James Hockaday of Woodford recently was feeling just that. So he pulled into a 7-Eleven convenience store and bought a Virginia Lottery Extreme Millions scratch-off ticket.
And once he started scratching, and saw what was about to befall him, "My heart started beating hard."
No wonder. He indeed had won the games $1 million prize, which he split with this mother, Janice Hockaday of Spotsylvania. They opted for the one-time cash payout of $657,030 before taxes.
