100 Fentanyl Pills Recovered During Spotsylvania Search: Police

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA — A Spotsylvania man faces several charges after authorities said they found 100 fentanyl pills, 12 grams of cocaine, and a handgun during a search on Tuesday.
The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office identified the man as 34-year-old Corey Sellers. Sellers is charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute scheduled I/II narcotics (3rd or subsequent), possession of a firearm while possessing with intent to distribute scheduled I/II narcotics, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and felony possession of a concealed weapon.
Sellers is being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

If convicted, Sellers could face a life sentence, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.
On Tuesday, members of Spotsylvania SWAT team searched a home in the Camelot neighborhood, the sheriff's office said. Sellers attempted to run away when he saw police, but he was taken into custody, authorities said.

"The ensuing search of Sellers’ person and the residence yielded a Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun, an estimated 100 pressed fentanyl pills, and 12 grams of suspected cocaine," the sheriff's office said in a report.
