15 Cheerleaders Hospitalized from Bus Fumes

The victims were travelling back to North Carolina through Fredericksburg Sunday night.

Fifteen cheerleaders have been taken to Fredericksburg area hospitals after smelling a strange fume on their charter bus, according to NBC Washington.

The cheerleaders were travelling back to North Carolina Sunday night after participating in a competition in Washington D.C. The bus was driving through Fredericksburg on Interstate 95 when the cheerleaders smelled a strange fume. They stopped the bus twenty miles later in Thornburg, according to ABC News.

Five ambulances were called to aid the cheerleaders who had difficulty breathing. The victims were taken to Fredericksburg hospitals for treatment.
