Boy Shot During Drug Deal In Stafford County: Police
Two men shot a boy in Stafford County on Friday night, the sheriff's office said. Authorities said both suspects were arrested on Sunday.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — Two men shot a boy in Stafford County on Friday, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
The boy, who police did not identify by name or age, did not suffer life-threatening injuries. He was released from the hospital on Friday night.
On Sunday, deputies arrested 20-year-old Logan Garrison and 21-year-old Nathan Thompson in connection with the shooting. Garrison is charged with malicious wounding and assault by mob. Thompson is charged with malicious wounding and possession of a controlled substance.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Friday, deputies learned that a boy was receiving treatment at the Mary Washington Hospital for a gunshot wound. Authorities began an investigation and determined that the shooting occurred in the England Run neighborhood during a drug deal.
Through their investigation, deputies received a description of the suspects' vehicle, the sheriff's office said.

On Sunday, deputies learned of an assault at the Wawa on Warrenton Road. As they reviewed security footage, they saw a man and a vehicle that matched the description from the shooting. Deputies found the vehicle in Stafford County and identified its driver, Garrison, as a suspect in the shooting and the assault at Wawa, according to the police report.
Authorities later identified Thompson as the second suspect and took him into custody.
Garrison has a bond hearing on Friday before a preliminary appearance in May. Thompson is scheduled to appear in court on May 4.
