$352K Jackpot Awarded To Fredericksburg Man By VA Lottery

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Kevin Clements should be feeling lucky these days. Last month, the Spotsylvania resident won a $351,694 jackpot from the Virginia Lottery.

Clements won his prize from the Cash 5 with EZ Match game. He allowed the computer to randomly select his lucky numbers: 1-22-26-27-29.

"I was surprised," Clements told lottery officials.

Clements brought his winning ticket from the Wawa at 199 Falcon Drive in Fredericksburg.

The odds of winning the top prize in the EZ Match game are 1 in 749,398. The prize starts at $100,000 and increases through a rolling jackpot.

In Virginia, proceeds from the lottery support education efforts throughout the state. Last fiscal year, Spotsylvania County received $16,200,000 from the Virginia Lottery for education initiatives.
