FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Check you tickets. The lucky player who purchased a lottery ticket at a Fredericksburg convenience store in November has only two weeks left to claim their $50,000 prize.
The Powerball ticket in question was purchased at the Wawa store located at 2390 Plank Road in Fredericksburg for the Nov. 27, 2023 drawing. The winning numbers were 2-21-38-61-66, and the Powerball number was 12. Not only did the ticket match the Powerball number, it also matched four of the first five numbers, making it worth $50,000 to the person who redeems it.
According to Virginia law, winning tickets must be redeemed within 180 days after the drawing. Otherwise, the prize expires. Unclaimed prizes go to Virginia's Literary Fund, which provides low-income loans to fund construction, renovation and technology upgrades at public schools across Virginia.
