$600K In Cash, 50 Pounds Of Drugs, Maserati Seized In Spotsylvania County: Police

Authorities in Spotsylvania seized money, drugs, guns, and cars last week in connection with a narcotics investigation.

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA — Thousands of dollars in cash, two cars, more than 50 pounds of drugs, and several guns were seized by the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office last week. Authorities said the seizure occurred as they served search warrants at the end of a months-long narcotics investigation.

In May 2021, Spotsylvania's Narcotics Unit began an investigation into David Sparks, according to a news release posted by the sheriff's office. At the time, investigators believed that Sparks was involved with the distribution of cocaine.

On Oct. 25, authorities conducted search warrants at three different residences in the area. Sparks was also searched, and he was later arrested and charged with felony distribution of a controlled substance.
