Adventure Brewing Cited For Holiday Creations in Fredericksburg

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — The state's tourism corporation has put together a list of "25 Holiday Beers To Try At Virginia Breweries This Season," and a Fredericksburg brewery is among the selections.

Adventure Brewing, 33 Perchwood Drive and 3300 Dill Smith Drive, made the list not once but twice.

The list was based on brewers who came up with distinctive "seasonally-inspired ingredients," and the Fredericksburg brewery did just that.

Here's a look at the two creations from Adventure Brewing:

Mary Washington’s Gingerbread

Based on Mary Washington’s famous gingerbread recipe, this seasonal offering imitates the ginger, raisin, and dry sweetbread flavors of a traditional gingerbread. The brewery collaborates with the nearby Mary Washington House in to release this holiday-themed beverage.

Bobsled Winter Ale (above)

It's a spiced amber ale brewed with orange peel, allspice, cinnamon, and ginger.
