Alec Baldwin To Visit NoVA, Canvass For Democratic Candidates

The actor known for roles in "30 Rock" and "The Departed" will make stops in Fredericksburg, and Fairfax and Chesterfield counties.

Actor Alec Baldwin, known for his role in "30 Rock" and his portrayal of President Donald Trump on "Saturday Night Live," will make three stops in Northern Virginia Tuesday, where he plans to canvass for Virginia's Democratic Senate and House candidates.

Baldwin, who is a People For the American Way board member, will visit campaign locations and participate in activities including door-knocking, the Free Lance-Star reports.

Baldwin will make stops in Chesterfield County to support Amanda Pohl, candidate for Virginia Senate District 11; Fredericksburg for Joshua Cole, candidate for Virginia House District 28, and Qasim Rashid, candidate for Virginia Senate District 28; and Fairfax County for Dan Helmer, candidate for Virginia House District 40.

Here's where he'll appear, according to a VVEC TV station:

1:30 p.m.: Baldwin joins Pohl for a press event and neighborhood door-knocking at 8112 Hillcreek Drive in Midlothian.
4 p.m.: Baldwin takes part in canvass/phone bank kickoff with Cole at Leeland Station Clubhouse, 115 Riggs Road in Fredericksburg.
5:30 p.m.: Baldwin delivers pizza to campaign office volunteers and takes part in canvass/phone bank kickoff for Helmer at 5618 Ox Road in Fairfax Station.

He will be supporting candidates endorsed by the People For the American Way's Next Up Victory Fund, which supports progressive young candidates running for office. Next Up is particularly focused on Virginia this election, according to the group's website, as the state prepares for state legislative elections that could flip the General Assembly to Democratic control.
