America's Fittest Places: Fredericksburg on the List

Got a hand towel or water bottle with a gym logo on it? Got your trainer on speed dial? You’re not alone in the Fredericksburg area.

Time Magazine has rated the community among ”America’s Fittest Places.” Looking at data of gyms per capita, the magazine’s staff found several Virginia communities near the top of the list.

Fredericskburg came in at No. 17.

Also near the top of the list: Fairfax City at No. 1, Falls Church at No. 2, Williamsburg at No. 9, Manassas Park at No. 11 and Goochland at No. 13.

Of the more than 1,700 communities ranked, Spotsylvania was at 1,116 and Stafford finished at 1,188.
