D.C. Man Robbed Stafford Car Wash, Chinese Restaurants: Police

The Stafford County Sheriff's Office arrested a 39-year-old Washington, D.C. man for allegedly robbing China Delight, Top Chef and others.

STAFFORD, VA — A suspect wanted in connection with a string of August burglaries in the Stafford area has been arrested, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office announced today. Officials arrested Eugene Blocker, 39, of Washington, D.C., after he was arrested in D.C. last week on unrelated charges.

According to a Stafford Sheriff's Office report, on Aug. 30 just after 11 a.m., a deputy responded to a breaking and entering call at Fortune House, 282 Deacon Road. Upon arrival, the deputy observed signs of forced entry at the business.

The Stafford Sheriff’s Office subsequently received several similar reports of breaking and entering at other businesses in the area including China Delight, 300 Chatham Heights Rd.; Chatham Laundry and Car Wash, 312 Chatham Heights Rd.; Top Chef, 43 Town and Country Dr.; Hong Kong, 1075 Garrisonville Rd.; and Lin’s Gourmet Chinese, 45 Walpole St.

Following a month-long investigation, detectives identified Blocker as a suspect. He was arrested for breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony and destruction of property.
