FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Police are investigating an armed assault in the 600 block of Kenmore Avenue after a reported shooting Monday night in Fredericksburg.
The Fredericksburg E-911 Center received a call shortly after 9 p.m. reporting shots fired in the area, according to the Fredericksburg Police Department.
Three victims were assaulted at gunpoint by masked individuals after the suspects entered an establishment in the 600 block of Kenmore Avenue, according to police. During the assault, a shot was fired, but no one was struck by gunfire.
One victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where they were reported in stable condition, according to police. Two other victims were treated at the scene and released.

The three suspects fled on foot toward Jackson Street. A K9 team searched the area but did not locate the suspects, according to police.
One suspect was described by police as a male of unknown race wearing white and red gloves, black pants, a black or gray hoodie, a white mask and white tennis shoes. No descriptions were available for the other two suspects.
During the initial stages of the investigation, police released an incorrect business name connected to the incident. The previously identified business was not involved, police said. Authorities said the incident occurred elsewhere in the 600 block of Kenmore Avenue.
The Fredericksburg Police Department is asking anyone with security camera footage recorded between 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Monday near Kenmore Avenue and Jackson Street, or anyone who observed suspicious activity in the area, to contact the department at 540-373-3122, option 2.
