Police obtained arrest warrants for Reel on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Authorities believe Reel and Van Zandt may be in the Woodbridge area. Police said neither is known to have a vehicle, and it is unclear how they are traveling.

The case is Van Zandt’s second missing-person report in recent days. Van Zandt also was reported missing Sunday morning in the 800 block of Lafayette Boulevard and was located Monday, according to a Patch story.

Patch also reported that police previously said Van Zandt, who is known to frequent downtown Fredericksburg, was last seen near 214 William St. at Market Square and may have been trying to leave the state with Reel.

Van Zandt is described as a 17-year-old white girl, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said she was last seen wearing a black top and jean shorts, carrying a red purse. She has a heart-shaped tattoo on her left or right hip.

Police said an Amber Alert has not been issued because the criteria require confirmation of a child abduction.
