Stafford County Schools To Offer Free Summer Meals For Children In June, July

STAFFORD, VA — Stafford County Public Schools will provide free meals to children this summer through the Summer Food Service Program.

The meals will be available at designated sites on a first-come, first-served basis. The school division said meals will be provided to all children at no charge and will be the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, disability or age.

The sites and times are:

• Anthony Burns Elementary, June 8-July 2. The site will be closed June 12, June 19 and June 26.
  Breakfast: 8-8:30 a.m.
  Lunch: 10:15-11:35 a.m.
• Falmouth Elementary, June 8-July 2. The site will be closed June 12, June 19 and June 26.
  Breakfast: 8-8:30 a.m.
  Lunch: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
• Kate Waller Barrett Elementary, June 8-July 2. The site will be closed June 12, June 19 and June 26.
  Breakfast: 8-8:30 a.m.
  Lunch: 10 a.m.-noon.
• Widewater Elementary, June 8-July 2. The site will be closed June 12, June 19 and June 26.
  Breakfast: 8-8:30 a.m.
  Lunch: 10:30-11:30 a.m.
• North Star and Rising Star Early Start, June 1-July 16. Children must be currently registered in a North Star or Rising Star program to attend at these sites. The sites will be closed June 12, June 19, June 26, July 3 and July 10.
  North Star breakfast: 7:45-8:15 a.m.
  North Star lunch: 11 a.m.-noon.
  Rising Star breakfast: 8-8:30 a.m.
  Rising Star lunch: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
