FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Fredericksburg residents have until close of business June 22 to comment on a proposed apartment project at the former Mary Washington Hospital site at 2300 Fall Hill Ave.
The proposal, listed by the city as SPMAJ2605-0065 Old Mary Washington Hospital Apartments, calls for adaptive reuse of the existing building for 242 multifamily units, a coffee shop, a day care facility and related site improvements, including a park.
The property is zoned C-M, Creative-Maker District, and R-4, Residential, with a Special Use Permit, according to the city notice.
The applicant is Daniel Webb, PE, of W.W. Webb & Associates. The property owners are listed as FXBG Opportunity Zone LLC and Ten Lot LLC, according to the site plan.
A city site map places the property near James Monroe High School, Mary’s Landing and the Elmhurst neighborhood.
