FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Sheehy Subaru of Fredericksburg and its customers donated $15,000 to the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust through the 2025-26 Subaru Share the Love Event, according to a news release.
The money will support the trust’s work to protect natural lands, waterways and habitat across Northern Virginia.
The annual Subaru Share the Love campaign allows customers to choose a local charity to support. Sheehy Subaru of Fredericksburg partnered with Subaru of America and customers for the donation to NVCT.
“There’s something special about this area — the green spaces, the trails, the places people come to recharge,” DJ Bruce, general manager of Sheehy Subaru of Fredericksburg, said in the release. “We’re grateful to play a role in helping protect that, and to partner with an organization that works every day to preserve it.”
The Northern Virginia Conservation Trust is a nonprofit land trust founded in 1994. The organization, based in Annandale, said it has protected nearly 9,000 acres serving 3 million residents in Northern Virginia.
“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from Sheehy Subaru of Fredericksburg, Subaru of America, and the community,” Alan Rowsome, executive director of NVCT, said in the release. “Partnerships like this allow us to continue protecting, caring for, and restoring the places that make Northern Virginia such a special place to live.”
The Subaru Share the Love Event is in its 18th year. The campaign has directed more than $350 million to national and local charities across the country, according to the release.
Sheehy Auto Stores is a family-owned automotive group founded in 1966. The company said it operates more than 25 dealerships and donated more than $1 million through Sheehy Cares in 2025.
