FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Fredericksburg police are asking for the public's help identifying a driver involved in an early-morning hit-and-run that significantly damaged an air-conditioning unit on Caroline Street.
A woman driving the vehicle struck the side of a building in the 1700 block of Caroline Street on Thursday, according to police. Video released by the department shows the driver and a male passenger repeatedly attempting to free the vehicle.
The passenger then contacted another man for assistance, police said. The three eventually freed the vehicle and left the scene.

Anyone who can identify the people involved is asked to call the Fredericksburg Police Department at 540-373-3122 or contact the department through social media. Anonymous tips may be submitted by texting "FPDtip," followed by the information, to 847-411. Tips can also be sent through the free FPD Tip app for Android and iPhone.
