Animal Rescue Groups To Hold Volunteer Recruitment Event

With a strong need for volunteers, animal rescue groups in the Fredericksburg area are holding a recruitment event on Jan. 25.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Animal rescue groups in the Fredericksburg area are holding an event on Saturday, Jan. 25 to recruit volunteers to their organizations, which are in need of people to help animals in the region. The event will be held at the Salem Church Branch of the Central Rappahannock Regional Library System from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

"Have you been thinking about volunteering with the animals? Becoming a foster? Well, here is your chance to find out what you can do to help the animals in your community," the groups wrote on Facebook announcing the event.

People will get to talk to representatives from more than 15 animal support and welfare groups to find out what they can do to help. "Everyone has a talent or skill that can help," even if it's only for one hour a month or 10 hours a week, the coalition of groups said. "Come find the purrfect fit for you."
