Argument Leads To Gunshot Fired At Fredericksburg Wawa: Police
At a Fredericksburg Wawa, the suspect pointed a gun toward a man pumping gas and then fired it into a gas pump ceiling, police said.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A man fired a single gunshot at a car parked at a gas pump at a Wawa convenience store in Fredericksburg early Sunday morning, according to the Fredericksburg Police Department. After an employee call 9-1-1, the police responded and located the driver of the car near where the suspect fired. The victim was not injured.
The police received the call around 2:30 a.m. Sunday from the Wawa employee at 2390 Plank Rd. (Route 3). The victim reportedly told the police that an unknown male was standing alone in front of Wawa and began an argument with him.
The victim started pumping gas when three males exited the store and started walking toward a parked vehicle with the suspect. The suspect then pulled a gun from the car, pointed it toward the victim and fired it into the gas pump ceiling. The suspect and three associates left the Wawa in a white four-door Lincoln sedan, the Fredericksburg police said.
