Armed Carjackers Arrested After Chase Through Spotsylvania: Police
Two brothers were arrested after stealing a car at gunpoint and leading Spotsylvania deputies on a chase, authorities said.

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA — Deputies arrested a pair of suspected carjackers after a chase through Spotsylvania County, the sheriff's office said in a new release. Authorities said one of the suspects had their 18-month-old child in the back seat of the stolen car during the chase.
No injuries were reported in the carjacking or chase, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office said.
Authorities identified the suspects as 18-year-old Larique Leach and 22-year-old Larry Leach. Larique is charged with armed robbery, motor vehicle theft, felony eluding, child endangerment, abuse and neglect of a child, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, possession of a firearm while possessing schedule I/II narcotics, and possess a firearm with altered serial number.

Larry Leach is charged with armed robbery, motor vehicle theft, child endangerment, abuse and neglect of a child, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, concealed weapon, and possession of a stolen firearm.
Both men were held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

The carjacking occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday in the 1100 block of Salem Station Boulevard. The victim told police that two armed men took his 2007 Honda and his wallet before driving away.
A Spotsylvania deputy saw the stolen car on Leavells Road and tried to conduct a traffic stop, according to the police report. The driver of the stolen car refused to stop and led deputies on a chase.
The chase continued onto Route 3 and northbound I-95, where deputies from the Stafford County Sheriff's Office joined the pursuit.
The deputies tried to use a rolling roadblock. While trying to avoid the roadblock, the suspects crashed the stolen car, authorities said.
"An 18-month-old child belonging to one of the suspects was discovered in the back seat of the vehicle unharmed," the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. "Deputies also located two loaded firearms in the vehicle."
The suspects were taken into custody without further incident, police officials said.
