Armed Fentanyl Trafficker Sentenced In Federal Court

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A drug trafficker convicted of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and being a felon in possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking was sentenced in federal court on Wednesday to 15 year in prison, according to court records.

From November 2022 through May 2025, law enforcement officers conducted a series of controlled purchases in Fredericksburg and Lorton of narcotics that were supplied by 31-year-old D'Quinta Arastoo Hill, court records say.

During a search of Hill's apartment in Lorton on Feb. 1, 2023, officers recovered, among other things, two firearms, 55 fentanyl pills and cocaine, according to court documents. An additional firearm was recovered duing a May 28, 2025 search of Hill's home in Fredericksburg.

“D’Quinta Hill flooded our communities with fentanyl – one of the most lethal drugs confronting our nation – and cocaine, placing countless lives at risk,” said Lindsey Halligan, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. “Hill distributed more than 450 grams of fentanyl for redistribution, including pressed pills designed to resemble legitimate medication, while illegally possessing firearms to protect his drug trafficking operation. Every two milligrams of fentanyl he put into circulation represented a potential overdose, loss of life, and another grieving family. Our office remains committed to disrupting drug distribution networks and preventing those who profit from poisoning our communities.”

One of the firearms recovered from the Lorton apartment was purchased for Hill by 34-year-old Danielle Nicole Johnson of Alexandria, court documents say. Hill was convicted of assault and battery in 2018 and possession of a controlled substance in 2022, which meant that he was a convicted felon.

On Sept. 8, 2025, Johnson pleaded guity to making false statements to obtain a firearm and then transferring the weapon to a convicted felon, court records say. She was sentenced on Dec. 18, 2025 to a year and a day in prison.

The fentanyl that Hill sold law enforcement officers was provided to and sold by 32-year-old Gordon Dupree Jackson, of Boston, Virginia, according to court documents. Jackson pleaded guilty on April 30, 2025, to conspiracy to distribute fentanyl after having been convicted of a serious drug felony. Jackson was sentenced on July 16, 2025, to 15 years in prison.
