Armed Robber Caught After High-Speed Chase In Stafford: Police
A man tried to rob a Tires and More in Stafford and then led police on a high-speed chase before being caught: SCSO.

STAFFORD, VA—A man tried to rob a Tires and More at 372 Warrenton Road last Thursday night and then led police on a high-speed chase before being caught near the Super Value Inn at 594 Warrenton Road, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Leroy Vernoise Dorsey, 40, of Stafford, was charged with use of a firearm in commission of a felony, eluding police, conspiracy, assault and battery, brandishing a firearm and driving with a suspended license.
Around 6:30 p.m., police received a report of a gun-related incident at the tire store and that a man had left the scene in a dark vehicle. Soon thereafter, police spotted the vehicle near the Interstate 95 interchange being driven erratically and at a high speed. They began a chase near McLane Drive.
Near a Wendy's at 588 Warrenton Road, the vehicle ran into a ditch in front of the restaurant and fled from the vehicle. Police gave chase and nabbed him near the Super Value Inn at 594 Warrenton Road. He told them he fled because his license was suspended, and a BB gun with a safety cap painted black was found in the vehicle.

Later, a witness at the tire store told police Dorsey had pointed a gun at an employee's head and demanded $100, after which he punched the victim in the head and fled.
