Suspect in Armed Robbery at Pharmacy Arrested
Suspect accused of taking prescription drugs after presenting a note and a gun, according to Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office.

A man suspected in the armed robbery Tuesday morning of a Rite Aid pharmacy on Plank Road has been arrested in Lousia County.
Scott Franklin Deal, 45, is charged of armed robbery, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and grand larceny, according to the Spotsylvana County Sheriff’s Office. Evidence was collected that linked Deal to the robbery, according to an SCSO release.
“Spotsylvania County Detectives along with Louisa County Deputies located Deal after following up on a lead,” according to Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Capt. Troy Skebo. “Mr. Deal was armed at the time of his arrest and was found hiding in the woods off of Chalk Level Road.”

Officers responded to the store just after 10 a.m. Tuesday is the 5200 block of Plank Road.
The suspect presented a note to the pharmacist and displayed a semi-automatic handgun, according to deputies. He left the business with an undisclosed amount of prescription pills.

Deal is being held with no bond at Rappahannock Regional Jail.
