Assault On Police Charge Filed Against Fredericksburg Woman: Report
Arlington County Police cited a 40-year-old Fredericksburg woman on numerous charges, including assault and battery and assault on police.

ARLINGTON, VA — A 40-year-old Fredericksburg woman is facing multiple charges, including assault and battery, in connection with a disorderly conduct incident that occurred Monday night at a business in Ballston.
Arlington County Police responded around 10:44 p.m. for a disorderly conduct report at a business in the 4200 block of Fairfax Drive. Officers determined that Angela Hiner of Fredericksburg had entered the business and started eating items. When she was confronted by an employee, Hiner started arguing and threw merchandise at the employee, striking them, according police.
Although Hiner left the business, she returned a short time later, went behind the counter and threatened the employee, according to police. As Hiner was leaving the store, she hit the glass door, causing it to shatter, and then fled the area on foot.

Responding officers located Hiner in the area of Fairfax Drive and N. Stuart Street. While in custody, she was non-compliant and kicked an officer. Medics arrived on the scene and evaluated her.
Police arrested Hiner and charged her with assault on police, assault and battery, shoplifting, obstruction of justice and public intoxication. She was also cited on two charges of destruction of property. Hiner was then held without bond.
