Bald Eagle Release Wednesday in Stafford County
Wildlife Center of Virginia releasing female eagle found at Widewater State Park in May with broken talon.
A bald eagle found injured at Widewater State Park more than three months ago will be released back to the wild on Wednesday.
The Wildlife Center of Virginia took in the female bald eagle after it was found at the state park on May 10. The eagle had a broken talon and superficial injuries on its feet.

The release, at 11:30 a.m. at Widewater, is open to the public; those planning on attending should RSVP to lkegley@wildlifecenter.org.
