2 Bank Robberies in Stafford Tuesday
Different suspects, but authorities believe the robberies are related, according to Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
STAFFORD, VA — A second bank has been robbed in Stafford Tuesday afternoon and investigators believe the two cases are related.
The second robbery was at the PNC Bank at 2864 Jefferson Davis Hwy. at Aquia Towne Center.
The suspect walked into the bank at 4 p.m. and handed a note to the teller demanding money. The employee provided an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled on foot, heading east toward the back of the Aquia Towne Center.

Deputies describe the suspect as a medium build white male, 35-40 years of age, wearing a black t-shirt covered by a black jacket, light colored ripped blue jeans and an olive/khaki ball cap. The suspect had a well-groomed beard.
Investigators believe the two robberies are related because the suspect in the first robbery — at Cardinal Bank on Garrisonville Road less than two hours earlier — was seen at the PNC Bank site just prior to the second robbery.

In the Cardinal Bank case, the suspect walked up to the teller window and demanded money. The employee provided an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled.
Police describe that suspect as a heavy set black male, wearing a black sweatshirt covered by a black jacket, black pants and black sneakers with white soles.
The suspect also wore a Baltimore Orioles baseball cap that is black on the back of the cap and white on the front of the cap. The suspect had a thin goatee.
