Around 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Zinno walked into the Atlantic Union Bank on Warrenton Road, the sheriff's office said. Once inside, he showed a teller a note demanding cash.
The robbery attempt was unsuccessful, according to authorities. Zinno ran out of the bank without money before deputies arrived at the bank.
The sheriff's office shared surveillance photos of the robbery on social media, and residents helped identify Zinno.
Investigators learned that Zinno had planned to return to a pawn shop in Spotsylvania County on Tuesday afternoon. Deputies from Stafford and Spotsylvania waited at the pawn shop, where they arrested Zinno, Harris, and Spears.
"Thank you to everyone that shared the surveillance photo and called in tips," the sheriff's office said. "Your assistance helped get these suspects off the streets within hours of the offense."
