Batarangs Confiscated at Charlottesville Albemarle Airport: TSA
The three razor-sharp items were in a carry-on bag, and the TSA was quick to share a photo of the items, as it does often with social media.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — Ever seen the Farmer's Insurance commercial where the agent walks with a customer and recounts a particularly ridiculous claim that supposedly has been enshrined in the company's faux museum?
Well, the Transportation Security Administration has its own Rogues Gallery — but this one's real, via social media instruments such as Instagram and Twitter.
Take, for example, an incident last week at Charlottesville Albemarle Airport, 100 Bowen Loop, as recounted by TSA public affairs spokesman Lisa Farbstein via Twitter and shown in the above photo:

With its Instagram account, the TSA has provided a trove of photos showing odd items that never had a chance of making it onto the plane.
