Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder Right?

Wow miss a few weeks in blogging and people start to wonder!  Well not really but I was just wishing!  Today my blog comes from my desk at work!  YES, I am really blogging on the boss's dime!  But it's Friday and today officially starts my "Dirty 30 Birthday Celebration Weekend!"  Sunday I hit that big 30 milestone and have only had one freak out over it.  Good news is, I have still been carded for age-restricted purchases over the last week and I did the driver's license renewal and have a semi-fabulous picture.  I will bring in turning 30 by jumping out of a plane at 13,000 feet tomorrow and then spend the rest of the day making my liver wish it had a floatation device! 

But really 30, wow I am getting OLD!  At least that is what the oldest said this morning.  She thinks that I am so uncool and embarrassing.  I mean, I still think I am the coolest thing ever and I can't believe she doesn't think so!  What's wrong with your mom wanting a kiss as you jump out of her car in lighting speed from the car rider's line at school?  Or that I still bring you a Happy Meal to school when I come for lunch?  It has a super fabulous toy that is probably loaded with poisonous paint and made in China.  I AM COOL!!

So with turning 30 brought more than just a semi-mid-life crisis for me.  It brought a career change which has been the best ever.  I think this job was waiting for me!  I have taken over being the Marketing Coordinator for a fantastic company.  That means I play on the computer, making print ads, planning our advertising and I get business cards.  I got a bit overzealous when ordering the cards because I went with 1000!  I justified the purchase to the boss by saying, "There are fish bowls just waiting for my card to win FREE LUNCH!"  He totally got it and went for the purchase!  So now don't my 500 closest friends want a card?  I am sure you are wanting to re-finance or purchase a new home!

So I will close out this blog by saying:  I vow to blog more often because I know the Patch readers LOVE what I have to say!
