Dive Into Fun With Movies Under the Moon

As a mom, I know that we are always looking for fun, free family activities for our children to enjoy. Part of our mission here at the Fredericksburg Parks and Recreation Department is to provide these types of community events and more.

That is why we are proud to be presenting Movies under the Moon also known as Dive in Movies at Dixon Pool. Sponsored by Cox Communications we will be bringing you two hit movies this weekend July 15 and July 16.

Friday, July 15, we will be showing Iron Man 2 starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson. Continuing where the hit movie left off, this is a great movie for the older children and teens. Rated PG -13.

Saturday, July 16, we will be showing How To Train Your Dragon. A great movie for the younger children, this film is filled with animated goodness. It stars Hiccup, a young viking, whose unlikely friendship with a dragon named, Night Fury, changes him and his village forever. Rated PG.

Bring your lawn chairs and get there early!! Food is available for purchase by Nathan's Hot Dogs and Brusters Ice Cream.
