Free community events provided to you by the Fredericksburg Parks and Recreation Department. Come and join the fun!
Fredericksburg Parks and Recreation is offering some great family fun coming up for the month of June and we want you to participate. So check out the following events and come out and join the fun!
Kids’ Fishing Derby - Enjoy a great FREE family fishing event at Motts Run Reservoir on Saturday, June 4th! Registration will be held on-site from 7:30 until 10:30 and the tournament is from 9am until Noon. Kids must bring their own fishing gear and bait and winners in their age category will receive trophies or medals! All kids from age 4-16 are welcome to participate. Each registered child will receive a free t-shirt and lunch. There will be games to play, door prizes, a beautiful lakeside setting and the joy of family and friends! Come join us on June 4th (the raindate is June 5th). For more information call Fredericksburg Parks and Recreation at 540-372-1086. This event is presented along with the Weekend Bassers Fishing Club.

Rappahannock Soap Box Derby
Come watch over 100 kids race their kit built derby cars down William St. June 11th from 8AM to 6PM. Tons of fun for the whole family. City residents please note that William St. will be closed to traffic from 5AM to 6PM on June 11th with a raindate of June 12th. Please make alternate travel arrangements.
Fredericksburg Photo Show
Calling all amateur photographers!! Enter our annual Fredericksburg Photo Show. A $15 entry fee will allow you to enter up to five photographs for awards and cash prizes. Entry deadline is June 3rd. Show will take place at the Dorothy Hart Community Center from June 23rd to 26th with varying hours. Tell your friends and enter now!!
