2013 ‘Burg Idol Auditions

  • When: Friday, March 22, 6 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Where: Spotsylvania Towne Centre
  • Why Go: Audition to become the next ‘Burg Idol! These open audition sessions allow you the chance to sing 30 second clip of a song, acapella. Register for each audition session one hour prior to the audition time.

Lions Charity Bingo

  • Where: University of Mary Washington
  • Why Go: Uncover clues, solve puzzles and complete challenges in this community-wide race. Promote healthy living in partnership with the American Heart Association and Mary Washington Healthcare. 
  • Price: $50 (through fundraising or through donation), registration required

Agents of Change Day

  • When: Saturday, March 23, 8 a.m.
  • Where: Colonial Forge High School
  • Why Go: Experience how students are using their skills to give back to their community and school in this fun-filled, family day. Enjoy zumba, a health and fitness circuit, games, prizes, food, and information on college and career planning. 
  • Price: FREE, participants are encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item

Railroad Museum and Train Rides

  • When: Saturday, March 23, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • WhereRailway Workers Museum
  • Why Go: Tour railroad cars, sit in the caboose and weather permitting take a ride down county tracks in a restored crew car.

Wild & Scenic Film Festival
