Virginia By The Glass is a free public speaker series at 1781 Brewing Company and Wilderness Run Vineyards, created as part of 1781’s VA250 commemorative programming. Join us July 16 for a session with Shannon Doherty, Education Manager at Historic Germanna, as she shares the story of Governor Alexander Spotswood, the German colonists of Germanna, and this important chapter of Virginia history.
Additional summer sessions will feature historians and educators sharing stories of Virginia history, local history, and the American story.
Guests can expect an easy evening on the farm with time to meet the speaker, ask questions, and continue the conversation afterward. Beer, wine, food, and cigars will be available on site.
