In 15 years as the east coast’s premiere Tom Petty tribute band hailing from Virginia, Full Moon Fever never fails to get a crowd on its feet, reliving the universally celebrated career of one of the greatest American bands of all time. Take a rescue dog on easy, weekly Saturday Strolls at 7:45 a.m. Meet volunteers at the facility, where they’ll pair dogs with participants and head in a caravan to a different spot each week. The strolls are on flat, simple paths with an indoor backup for wet weather. Don’t miss the chance to get exercise, socialize with fellow dog lovers and give the pups a chance to explore.

It’s time for two days of Pet Palooza at the Fredericksburg Convention Center, where ODHS will have a booth with rescue dogs waiting to be adopted. Stop by to watch tail wagging and silly antics, and get some wet kisses from adorable dogs. Visit the ODHS booth from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on September 12 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on September 13.
