Car Break-Ins: Foot Patrol Offers Break In Case
Stolen loot found in a teen's pocket following an overnight theft, according to Fredericksburg Police.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA -- Two patrol officers have made a break in a string of thefts from cars in downtown Fredericksburg.
The officers were reportedly on foot patrol in the lower college area when they noticed a group of teens walking around and decided to follow them.
After a short period, a car break-in was reported on dispatch a few blocks away, leading the officers to stop and interview the teens.

The officers located an item from the theft in one teen’s pocket and he was referred to juvenile intake, according to police spokesperson Sarah Kirkpatrick.
Officers were also able to recover the victim’s stolen purse in a nearby sewer.
