Carl Mason “Skeeter” Dickinson, 67, of Spotsylvania County died Wednesday, September 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond.
Mr. Dickinson was a 1965 graduate of Stafford High School. He served in the Virginia National Guard and later retired from McLean Mid-Atlantic after 37 years. Mr. Dickinson was a life member of the Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire Department where he served as a Captain and Safety Officer. He was a member of Goshen Baptist Church. Mr. Dickinson loved NASCAR and drove a transporter for the #90 team for five years.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Janice S. Dickinson; daughter, Sherrie Lynn Dickinson of Stafford County; two granddaughters, Jessica Lynn Johnston (Anthony) and Taylor MacKenzie Williams all of Spotsylvania; great-granddaughter, Rosalie Mae Johnston; mother Dorothy P. Dickinson of Hartwood; brother, D. Dale Dickinson (Phyllis) of Stafford; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl B. Dickinson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday, September 29 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, September 30 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire Department.
