Cash Reward Offered After Fatal Shooting In Fredericksburg: Police

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A cash reward is now available for anyone with more information about a fatal shooting that occurred in Fredericksburg on Saturday morning, the Fredericksburg Police Department said.

Investigators identified the victim as 19-year-old Antoine Fox. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting.

Authorities have not made any arrests or identified any potential suspects. The police department has not released a suspect description.

The shooting occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday in the 1700 block of Lafayette Boulevard. Callers reported an unconscious man who was bleeding.

When police officers arrived on the scene, they found Fox suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the police report. First responders attempted lifesaving measures, but they were unsuccessful.

"Patrol officers set up a perimeter around the area and started the investigation while a detective was requested to respond to the incident," the police department said. "Officers found several vehicles struck by gunfire and multiple cartridge casings."

"It has been three days since the fatal shooting of Antione Fox in the City of Fredericksburg," the police department said on Facebook. "In an effort to bring justice to Antione and closure to his family, the Fredericksburg Police Department is offering a cash reward for any information leading to the arrest of his killer."
