Cemetery Vandalized In Fredericksburg: Police

A Fredericksburg cemetery was vandalized Monday night, according to Fredericksburg Police. Also, the rest of Wednesday's crime report.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Say what, now? Are you kidding? After all, messing around with a cemetery or a graveyard isn't exactly what one would consider normal behavior. Yet that's exactly what happened sometime Monday night, according to Fredericksburg Police.

Around 8 a.m., the groundskeeper at Masonic Cemetery, 902 Charles Street, told police that an unknown person had removed markers from the ground. One of the markers was reported damaged. Larceny:
1800 block Airport Avenue, 9/26, 8:45 a.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person stole
his unsecured lawn mower from his front yard. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Vandalism of Motor Vehicle:
600 block Sophia Street, 9/26, 11:30 a.m. A citizen reported that an unknown person punctured his
tire with a sharp object. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
