Child Porn Producer From Stafford Sentenced
Michael P. Johnson will spend decades in jail after admitting to abuse, according to prosecutors.

STAFFORD, VA -- A Stafford County man was sentenced this week to 30 years in prison for producing child pornography. Michael P. Johnson, 49, pleaded guilty on July 8.
He was identified in April by FBI agents after Johnson uploaded and downloaded files containing child pornography.
During a search of his home, Johnson admitted to sexually abusing a 4- or 5-year-old girl for approximately three years and to photographing and recording the abuse, according to prosecutors.

Searching Johnson’s computer, investigators found the video to which Johnson pled guilty, as well as an additional 260 images and 102 videos of the victim engaged in sexually explicit conduct. In addition, the FBI recovered more than 146,000 images and 22,000 videos of child pornography from Johnson’s computers.
When he is released, Johnson will be on supervised release for the rest of his life.

“The physical, emotional, and psychological harm a child suffers from sexual abuse and sexual exploitation through molestation and the production of child pornography is well known,” said Dana J. Boente, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.
