Choking, Assault Suspect Caught At Stafford Chicken Restaurant: Police
A 21-year-old man faces multiple assault and strangulation charges after being arrested at a Stafford County chicken restaurant on Thursday.
FREDERICKBURG, VA — Investigators with the Stafford County Sheriff's Office determined that 21-year-old George Attakora was a suspect wanted in connection with a serious assault that occurred in April on Executive Circle in North Stafford.
Investigators learned that Attakora was seen working at a Popeye's restaurant last month and he was also wanted on a warrant out of Fredericksburg.
Deputies went to the Popeye's around 9 p.m. on Thursday with the intent of arresting Attakora and serving the warrant. However, when the deputies entered the restaurant, Attakora ran to the rear entrance in an attempt to get away, but he was stopped and arrested by deputies who'd been stationed at the door.

Attakora was served with the Fredericksburg warrant and also charged with strangulation, felonious assault and assault and battery. He was then taken to the Rappahannock Regional Jail, where he was hed without bond.
